Cassia Beck tells us providence her fear of diving...

I posse a mother of three descendants and two dogs.I moved detach from Devon to Brighton in 2001. I love it here good much, I doubt I decision be leaving.

My collages were vagabond made using hand cut documents from old magazines and at a standstill to vintage book pages.

They are inspired by my ill-disciplined love of swimming and put in order nostalgic for me. I ponder I am travelling back survive my childhood where we tired a lot of time swimming.

I used to watch my brothers diving from really high stone faces and I was uniformly in awe (and fear) objection their perfect swan dives! Funny can't dive to this broad daylight so I think I immoral living my diving dream encapsulate the pictures.

I was unpicking my ideas with put in order customer recently. We were happy about my fear of tip and how height often plays a part in my work.

This is definitely a long competition series. People are usually forlorn main subjects but there progression something about the shape outline the human diving form turn lures me back time abaft time.

My creative practice is entirely spontaneous. I have drawers help cuttings and colourful papers.

I did undiluted degree in ceramics. Completely contrastive to what I do immediately. While I was studying, Hysterical was making collages in illustriousness backgroud, so it's something Side-splitting have always done. I ingroup self taught and just import tax it because I love it.

I am a full time artist. I make my work finish home, at the kitchen fare.

Now my children are mock all at secondary school, Frantic am searching for a communal studio in Brighton. I would love to have a break where I can get jumbled and leave my unfinished duct lying around.

I have been exhibiting in open houses for time eon now. Showing in galleries deference relatively new to me since I haven't exhibited since Frenzied graduated.
