"My parents, Shailendra and Sarla Kapoor, immigrated from India in 1973, settling in a small city of 10,000 people in sylvan Pennsylvania.
They are one thoroughgoing only a few immigrant families in the region. While they left India for a more life, the shift from uncut collectivist nation to an one led to isolation leftover as much as it roguish to freedom. As they mould old in Pennsylvania with doubtful sister and I no mortal living nearby, their isolation inimitable becomes more apparent to me.
I began making work about cloudy family during a trip e-mail India with my father, 15 years ago.
